This cedar has a Corten steel base with natural rust patina, which will mature with age. The Old Souls Series is a collection of dead cedar pieces. This collection spans 20 years of my life. I found these throughout the Hudson Valley, along railroad tracks, on land being developed, at the edge of the Hudson River, on hikes in the woods, and from friends in Schoharie County, NY. These specimens are rare. I know I’ll never see anything like them again. Each one was washed, carved, sculpted, trimmed, and then mounted to showcase the individual cedar. The complete Old Souls Series has 15 pieces.
